Serendipity Antiques, Temecula

Hi everyone, this is Bonnie. I thought I would talk about some of the places we went in Oct. and our plans for Nov-Dec. I had a busy month. I have been to Riverside, Crestline, Temecula, Vista, Glendora, Covina, Fallbrook, Tustin and a few more. You can see some of the other great pictures on our Instagram-weremadabout. Check out our Facebook too. November looks to be even busier. I am in the process of making up the November calendar and need help! If you know of any boutiques, community centers, cities, flea markets that are having holiday sales please let us know. We would love to publicize them. Every little bit helps, there are so many venues, some get overlooked and we don’t want to discourage any vendor. Some of the venues we have gone to not knowing if they were big or small have been the best, and we go back again and again. We have met so many nice vendors. I am constantly trying to find new (to us) places to show you.

Vintique Alley- Riverside

We have started filling in the month and it looks like so much fun. Vintique Alley and Embellished Nestings in Riverside are having their holiday gala Nov 5th from 4-9, Countryside Barn in Poway is having theirs Nov 4-6th, we are waiting on a date for Button and Burlap in Fallbrook-there’s all kinds of parties going on!! Most of these have wine or punch, cookies, cupcakes- a little substance to keep you going. And the new merchandise they bring in is the best. Most of them actually close a few days before the event to redo and set up. Some request no children, as it tends to get very crowded. B Street Junky will be having a sip and shop I’m planning to be at also. We are waiting on dates for several others. Behind the Picket Fence is on my list for Nov 5th too. It’s going to be a wild day, from Costa Mesa in the morning out to Riverside at night. But Picket Fence is one of my favorite places-think apple pie- and always great vendors.

All of these events are a good way to get in the holiday spirit. It feels like it has been pushed upon us starting in October and it’s easy to be a humbug. But after you push and prod yourself and a few friends to one of these galas you’ll feel more like celebrating. I think it’s a present to yourself. I know sometimes it’s hard for me to get up for a flea market and get going, but once I do I revive and am ready for more. I am looking forward to seeing the holiday decor, some of these stores go all out and I love to look at their decorating.
